Larry Parsons passed away 2 days ago and we all lost a part of ourselves in the process.
It has been a very rough couple of days for us, for every single lab in the department, at TSRI, for so many scientist throughout the country and most importantly for Larry's Family.
Dear Jodi, Cole and Caelen, your husband and father was an incredible man and definitely the best of all of us.
He was an incredible scientist, a leader, a mentor, an example for everyone and the kindest person i know. He would make sure that everyone is ok before himself and always bring the best in everyone. Larry thank you fro being so amazing, we are so lucky to have crossed your path. If you didn't know Larry, well I feel sorry for you, you missed out one of the greatest. Larry we will miss you... so much.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Larry Parsons Travel Award in Alcohol and Addiction Research. Please, help us keep Larry's legacy and contributions live on through his mentorship of students and colleagues by establishing a fund in his name.
