Undergraduate student intern, Nathan Rizo, presents to High School students and the Junior Scientist Training Program at Scripps Research. This outreach event, hosted by The Community Teaching Lab at Scripps Research targeted High School and Middle School students for a one week summer camp. During the camp they had the opportunity to participate in knowledge building activities, wet lab experiments, conduct and present their own research project, work on design challenges and go on Lab tours and interact with scientists. Nathan presented his work on sex-differences in cocaine-seeking behaviors in genetically diverse rats on July 12th, during the Biodiversity segment. Nathan is a senior Clinical Psychology major at UC San Diego.
