Linda Reyna and Nathan Rizo present their research at the UC San Diego Summer Research Conference


Senior undergraduate student interns Linda Reyna and Nathan Rizo gave 15 minute presentations on their research at the Annual UC San Diego Summer Research Conference on August 9th 2019. Linda Reyna, working under the mentorship of Hassiba Beljould, presented her work on the effect of the beta-adrenergic antagonist propranolol on saccharin self-administration and motivation. Nathan Rizo, working under the mentorship of Lauren Smith, presented his work on analyzing the cohort effect in a genome wide association study of cocaine use disorder. In the spring, Linda received her B.S. in Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience and Nathan received his B.S. in Clinical Psychology, both in the Class of 2019 at UCSD. We thank Linda and Nathan for their great work in the laboratory and congratulate them on their graduation!
